Title: Assistant Manager, Compliance
Job Responsibilities
- Work with business units to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements including licensing, reporting, internal controls matters, enhance processes and bridge compliance gaps with controls and preventive measures;
- Review the Company’s existing compliance policies and procedures to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk of illegal, unethical or improper conduct, and propose appropriate control measures;
- Supervise day-to-day submissions of information to the regulator, GRA, to be in compliance with GRA Directions;
- Support business units by providing advice for requests and queries from CRA and other government authorities;
- Update relevant business units on new regulatory requirements (i.e. GRA directions, notices, casino regulations etc.) and review and/or develop the training materials;
- Monitor compliance training status of respective business units
- Assist supervisor to implement delivery of compliance department initiatives
- Update the department’s SOP/ Work-guides/ templates / checklists etc.
- Other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
- Professional Diploma/Degree in fields that would suitably equip the candidate with relevant skills (Compliance, Accounting, Engineering or Law would be preferred, but not mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of experience; preferably in the area of compliance in a regulated industry (e.g. casino, banks etc.);
- Meticulous and detailed;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop effective processes and controls
- Good written and communication skills
- Able to collaborate with various teams
