Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Management team, manage and liaise with the design team/consultants to ensure high-quality design for themed environments and works.
  • Generate creative solutions for design tasks and ensure creative intent is met with functional requirements, constructability, and maintainability
  • Ensure all technical aspects of the project are strictly compliant with and in conformity with the design brief, Conditions of Contract, General and particular specifications, Contract drawings Bills of Quantities, etc
  • Review project schedule, quality and cost deliverables, cost control, planning, and forecasting
  • Regular updating and reporting of project performance and progress
  • Value engineering and management
  • Feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis
  • Risk analysis evaluations and mitigation plan
  • Collate and compile the requirement on required scopes (eg interior finishes, lighting, signage, material specs, etc)
  • Experienced in themed construction materials and fire safety compliance
  • Research and review examples of relevant design themes, historical or natural examples of specific design concepts for benchmarking and evaluation
  • Understand the integration of themed environment with Audiovisual, multi-media, and lighting for show elements

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture / Interior Design/ Industrial Design or equivalent
  • 5-10 years experience in managing projects and/or design consultancy
  • Preferably experienced in design works for themed fit-out and environment, including the understanding of construction detailing and maintenance
  • Experience in galleries, museums, and attractions is an advantage
  • Autocad /BIM/ Revit/ Sketchup/ Rhino conversant 
  • Ability to hand sketch and able to convey concepts and 3D ideas
