Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for generating revenue by conducting sales transactions with guests at various retail stores and carts 

  • Provide excellent guest service and interacting positively with guests in a friendly and courteous manner 

  • Promoting and up selling of merchandise to generate additional revenue. 

  • Handle cash register 

  • Maintain accurate stock control, merchandise display and stocks replenishment. 

  • Ensure consistent good housekeeping standards

Job Dimensions: 

1. Sales and Service Orientation  

  • Provide good guest service at all times 

  • Initiate conversation with guest and understand guest needs 

  • Greets the guest with a warm smile 

  • Possess good product knowledge and selling skills 

  • Listen and respond effectively to guest enquires 

  • Going the extra mile to WOW the guest 

  • Understand and communicate effectively with guest. Explain and advice guests on on-going promotions, up-sell when opportunity arises 

  • Engaging guest to encourage sales 

 

2. Job Knowledge 

  • Operate and perform all Point-Of-Sales (POS) functions in an accurate and timely manner        

  • Collect different mode of payments (cash, nets, credit cards, vouchers etc) 

  • Possess good knowledge of simple mathematics calculations             

  • Perform receiving of stocks accurately and in an orderly manner 

  • Perform replenishment of stocks in a timely manner 

  • Perform stock count or cycle count on an ad-hoc basis 

  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environment including operations of the retail carts 

  • Work rotating shifts (morning or afternoon shift), weekends and public holidays

Requirements:  

1. Essential: 

  • Secondary Education or equivalent 

  • Ability to communicate in English to the understanding of employees, Management, co-workers and guests 

  • Ability to provide legible communication 

 

2. Desirable: 

  • Knowledge of computers 

  • Fluency in a second language
