Title: Senior Manager/Manager, Planning Manager (3 Years Contract)
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the design, planning, construction function of construction projects and A&A works
- Prepare and implement project schedules for Engineering, Procurement Construction and Commissioning activities for all disciplines
- Coordinate with each discipline supervisor, business units, project managers, consultants and monitor progress of work on site on a daily basis
- Carry out pre-qualification and bid evaluation process to appoint suitable consultants, contractors or vendors for the projects
- Liaise with regulatory agencies when required to ensure that projects comply with legal requirements
- Maintain and update all schedules, analyse manpower and equipment deployment and evaluate project progress
- Monitor and analyse contractors’ baseline programme and status updates, and report to the Team Lead/HOD on any updates, delays or critical activities
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including progress updates in Gantt chart view, and resource/cost histograms
- To work with contract and costing team on contractual claims/ obligations/ variation orders
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering/Building with minimum 10 years of relevant experience at managerial level
- Deep understanding on Planning Software like Primavera & Microsoft Project. Able to perform analysis on critical path, float, programme delay and proposed recovery action.
- Knowledge and understanding on Synchro Infrastructure Software will be advantage.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in large-scale development projects
- Experience in sequencing the construction which should include the construction site staging, utilization planning, and construction contract interface management including identifying risk and opportunities
- Meticulous, highly motivated, multi-task and independent with excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of public sector procedures, including different roles of respective authorities, agencies and procurement requirements, will be advantages
